What does more time mean for you?

What does more time mean for you?

More play time with your kids
A long walk with your husband after work
Netflix & chill
A nap
Watching the sunset with a cocktail
Time to work on your side hustle
An extra episode of Ozark
An extra $500 a month

You want more of this, but your busy schedule usually succeeds in making you decide between you time and get-it-done time.

Get-it-done time wins.

I have spent my career watching this in others and working to solve it.

Solving it means streamlining a part of your life that has the ability to give you more me time, more family time, better health and more money.

And it's actually not complicated to do, you have just never been taught how.

In four steps, I can show you how to plan, shop, execute and stock your house with a fridge full of healthy meals that will give you the me time you want.

Making a change is HARD!

Making a change is HARD!

Whether you are changing houses, toothpastes or overhauling your diet, your brain does not love change.

Make it easier by being prepared.

This is the ONE step I see most people completely skip when they decide to lose weight.

You choose a goal weight, maybe even a diet you want to follow and then each day you wake up and have to figure out how to stick to that diet while being faced with all your old habits.

In that scenario, your brain has NO capacity to form new habits!

You are basically in fight or flight stress mode, just trying to get by with a healthy meal while your old habits work to keep you doing the same old.

To really make a change, planning HAS to occur.

Your healthy meals HAVE TO be ready for you so that old habits are easy to let go of.

This is WHAT WE DO in The Meal Prep Course.

We get you planned, prepared and relaxed, so when temptation arises it is NOT A PROBLEM.

Those new habits form fast and naturally. No fighting or resisting.

The only support you need is your own!

A client reached out to me the other day.

She said, “my family just does not support my new way of eating. Making this shift is so hard sometimes I don’t know why I am doing it.”

I told her the only support she really needs is her own!

The people in your life probably won't support you making a change at first.

They only know the old you, not the new you!

But you know the new you, you believe in that person and your ability to become that person... And that is what’s really important.

I asked her “what else can you feel in those moments when you see your family not support your new diet?"

How about pride in yourself for making the change that most will never dare to do?

What about self-love because you are doing something awesome for yourself?

What about gratitude for your family that loves you?

Those are all feelings to try on when you are feeling the challenge, when you are feeling down.

You can do this!

I am so proud of you for just getting started.

When was the last time you paused and took a look at how far you have come?

STOP FOR A SECOND.

When was the last time you paused and took a look at how far you have come?

How much you have grown since last year, how much weight you have lost, how many dietary changes you've made, how much more mature you are than yesterday ().

This plate pictured here is the sign I made for the original Basically It Meals before it was Basically It Meals.

4 years ago, it was called "The $6 Lunch". I would bulk batch my own meal prep and then take it to work each week and sell it to my coworkers. I hung this plate up at my cubicle to let them know when I had a batch to sell.

That is how far I've come.....from $6 lunch offered to coworkers, to full time business owner, to online course purveyor, to producer and TV personality.

We are all capable of INCREDIBLE CHANGE but so often we are stuck in "I haven't done enough", "I am not enough", "I will never get there".

So, stop for just one second today and give yourself a pat on the back for all the BAD ASS work you have put in!

I am so...

Good things don’t come easy...

Good things don’t come easy...

I was sweating my butt off at the gym today, kind of regretting being there, when this thought hit me.

If I want to feel the way I want to feel this summer, I’m probably going to have to go through it. Feel discomfort. Sweat. Skip dessert.

This goes for saving money, getting more free time each week, committing to meal prepping.

The work you put in upfront might not be easy.

You might even need to invest money upfront to get these things...
But if the result is worth it, then the “hard part” isn’t so bad.

I challenge you to do the hard thing today- invest in yourself, sweat, go through the pain.

It’s worth it on the other side.

Join the meal prep course and you will definitely give yourself the gift of time and money on the other side!
