Celery Tips & Tricks!

Celery is an AMAZING food with so many health benefits. Here are some ways I look to incorporate celery into my diet:

Celery juice mixed with aloe Vera juice. I had some seriously dry skin at the start of this season. I used this combo to help me rehydrate and acclimate to the weather change!

Make your own homemade celery juice! This is one of my favorite ways to get my daily nutrients.  All you need is organic celery and a juicer! I find it way more cost-efficient than hitting the juice shop. Sometimes I like to add extras like lemon and ginger. Ginger is especially great for cold and flu season

3 Super Juices To Try

These 3 super juices will rock your world, especially in the cold and dry winter months!


1. Celery juice! This has been so popular lately, and for good reason! The minerals and salts found in celery juice are great for hydration. Drink this one each morning on an empty stomach for max absorption.


2. Aloe Vera juice. You can buy at the store or make at home in your juicer. Either way, aloe is healing for the gut and great for dry skin this time of year.


3. Beet juice. Stop cringing!! It’s not so bad. Beets are not only in season now but loaded with antioxidants for harsh winter. Not to mention, all that gorgeous color gives you a great glow from the inside out (no tanning bed necessary!).

This "diet" is a way of life. It should be flexible to fit with your schedule.
It should serve you in improving your health, feeling good, having energy and looking the way you want to look.
You don't have to follow any diet that anyone else does, simply do what works best for YOU

You have to do what works for you, or nothing will work!

Plan your menus around local ingredients.

This is the best way to ensure you are getting:
The most nutrients possible
The highest quality ingredients
Organic for the best price (most small local farmers use organic methods, but simply can't afford the organic label)
Foods your body craves (our bodies are programmed to eat seasonal foods from our area)

Personally:

I am strict in certain areas: no gluten, low sugar, no fast food.
I am loose in others: wine, cheese, gluten free pasta.
This balance allows me to feel good, enjoy my food and look the way I want

5 Tips to be Healthier NOW!

75% of us want to be healthier.

80% of us have no idea where to start...

Despite the confusion, there are FIVE rock solid things you can do NOW to be healthier right away.

  1. Double your water intake (most of us don't get enough!)
  2. Include plenty of healthy fats (nuts, avocado, fish)
  3. Ditch your multivitamin (yes, do it! I have tons of great tips for creating an amazing supplement routine)
  4. Add 1 (more) serving of veggies to your day!
  5. MOVE!! I rarely say exercise, because getting up and moving your body can be SO beneficial! We tend to sit all day, so make a point to get up and shake it off!
