What to do after a weekend of overeating

If you find yourself consistently overeating on the weekends the last thing you want to do today is start a new diet.

Restricting after you overeat perpetuates the cycle. It keeps you stuck in overeating and then restricting.

The truth is restricting doesn't work. It never will.

The best thing you can do today is calm down. You can't undo what you did over the weekend by restricting.

What you can do that works: make a plan for today and stick to it.

And the plan doesn't include restricting, not eating, protein shakes only or any other such craziness.

The plan is choose foods that nourish you, choose to get physically hungry, choose to not overeat.

Choose to honor your body.

When you practice this consistently you break down the cycle of eating too much and then not enough, and get to a place where you are always eating exactly what you need.

Guess where that also gets you?

To a place where you weigh exactly what you should weigh.
